Screen‐Printed Few‐Layer Graphene Platforms for Monitoring Switchable Spin‐Crossover Phenomena at Room‐Temperature
Abstract
ABSTRACT Molecular bistability arising from the spin crossover (SCO) phenomenon offers a versatile platform for functional devices, yet its technological deployment remains hampered by poor electrical integration, fragile processing routes, and operation often restricted to low temperatures. Two‐dimensional (2D) materials, particularly graphene, have emerged as powerful transducers of spin‐state switching, but most demonstrations rely on non‐scalable fabrication methods and rigid substrates, limiting their practical relevance. Here, we report a semi‐printable strategy that integrates the benchmark SCO compound Fe(pz)[Pt(CN) 4 ] with a screen‐printed few‐layer graphene platform on flexible Kapton substrates. The hybrid devices preserve the intrinsic spin transition near room temperature while enabling reproducible electrical readout through few‐layer graphene conductance modulation. This approach combines molecular bistability, scalable fabrication, and flexible electronics, establishing a robust pathway toward next‐generation spintronic, sensing, and multifunctional device platforms.
